How is the rare character stuff? I see it posted on secondary pages all of the time, but haven’t tried any. A store near here has some Pride of Anderson County (isn’t that rare character stuff?) sitting out and I was curious when I saw it.

It’s generally highly regarded. I’ve only had this small batch and it’s good. I wouldn’t get a back up or anything but it’s good. I haven’t had any of the single barrels.

If the JD BP is too hot, I just put a rock in it or a few drops of distilled. Regardless, it’s delicious

I agree.

Interesting story - I've always only had bourbon neat, never once on ice. Last night I thought about trying one with an ice cube and found I absolutely hated it on ice. Maybe I'll try it with a stone next time just to chill it.

Pretty good, lots of complexity since they blend. I like their approach of hitting barrels from all over the place to make blends.

Remember when one of the joys of travel was the cheap prices of alcohol at the duty free shops? Yea that’s over also.

ER12 for 150 and no tax is not bad. That’s a hard bottle to find and going for 120-200 on secondary market.

The point was duty free shops used to not reflect secondary markets. They used to be below MSRP.

Every corner of the industry fricked itself. There are some places that are still not terrible.

Is fly through Incheon every few weeks and their duty free still sells at MSRP, but their selection is almost never broad when it comes to bourbon, or American whiskeys in general.

Tons of scotch though, oddly enough.

Our flight tomorrow includes one of the Bardstown new label bottles. If there's been a worse label change in the history of products, I haven't seen it.
