Hoping the Rye version is as good as the Bourbon one.

I think it is.Give it a try in a Manhattan one day. They're both no brainers at retail for me.

Interested in hearing what you think.

FPD Old Fashioned

That JD Rye is better than the bourbon to me. The barrel I have taste like bananas foster so good.

Got a purple top. Damn that hurt.

Awesome man. Those are some of my favorite pours.

Blue Run sourced some Willett for some of their single barrel “Chosen” series bottles. To be clear not all of the Chosen series is Willett, but some are.

Good to know. I looked it up and that program sounds awesome, but also a bit over the top with all the steps involved.

Sounds pretty fun for those involved. But yes a lot more than a normal pick

Have you tried batch 7? Any notes?

Somewhat surprisingly, I have not. It dropped at the same time as the Keenan and I wanted to try something new. KLuke is on a bunch of the end of year best of lists. He's really made the most of the opportunity so far.

Going with a cocktail

My favorite from him has been the standard barrel strength blend.

Just had one pour. Had it neat then mid-way I added a frozen steel ice cube. It was a neck pour so I expect it to open up even more when I revisit it but I grabbed a lot of banana, vanilla, mint. Really enjoyed it and looking forward to having another pour soon. I traded an extra store pick bottle of OFSBBP I had for it so I was happy with the “price”.

It is indeed. Looks like you're just one pour ahead of me. It's the closest to C920 I've had. I did a blind, but still gave 20 the slight edge. Unfortunately I only have a couple of pours of that one left.

having a WT101 since it reminds me of Bywater Bourbon, 4 grain. Bywater is a better pour.

Glad you like it. It'll just get better as it opens up. There's a good bit of complexity, at least in the two that I've tried. JD is dominating my list of favorites this year. The bonded rye, sherry finished malt, barrel strength rye, JD12, twice barreled rye etc are all great and under 100. Now that the law has been changed, the whole line will be available in Louisiana. The 12 might be my favorite this year, and they're going to be releasing a 15 pretty soon.

I drunkenly gave what was left of my C920 to a friend who hosted a bourbon get together for us a couple years ago. That was the best I’ve had in regards to ECBPs. I have an A119 that I may blind vs this C923 soon.

Noah’s Mill gives me my Willett fix when I don’t want to abuse my purple tops. Unfortunately it doesn’t stick around long

With that proof, a nip can go a long way. I have one that's two points lower. With it and coy hill, I usually just have one ounce pours. I can take half an hour to finish those sometimes.
