I had makers 46 for the first time this winter and was pleasantly surprised. It's a great everyday drinker.

I almost passed at that price. But what the hell, you only live once. It better be good! Also, as a result of this latest purchase, my wife thinks I officially have a problem.

Just show her NOLA's stash. It'll make you look like a saint. It's all relative. You just always have to make sure you know someone with a bigger collection

Uncle Jack, where those both OFs you were drinking on pg 744? If so, how do you make yours? Thanks

Yes both were OF

2-3 oz bourbon or rye
3 dashes angostura bitters
1 dash orange bitters
1 sugar cube
1 cherry (usually not muddled but will muddle occasionally if I want it a little sweeter)

I have tried that tactic, it just makes her fear the future.

Now that I have an experienced scotch drinkers attention, what do you think of my first few targets as I branch off into scotch?

Higland Park 12, Glendronach 12, Caol Ila 12 and Balvenie 12 Double Wood.

I'm on 6 or 7. Don't even know what I'm drinking. My wife poured this. I think it's toasted.
