What's y'all opinion on Noah's mill? Headed to Marcelo's later for a bourbon run and thinking of trying it

The EH barrel proof is insanely good. I hosted a tasting a couple of months back.

I provided:
EH barrel proof
W L Weller 12
Elijah Craig 12
Eagle Rare 10
Angels Envy
Four roses single barrel
Willet pot still reserve
Bookers
Noahs Mill

The EH barrel proof was the run away favorite.

Unfortunately, Noahs Mill is very inconsistent. I've bought 2 bottles. I really liked the first. Strong, smooth, complex, and just really enjoyable. When I finished it, I quickly went get another bottle. I felt like it wasn't even the same bourbon. Took me forever to drink it, and I eventually used most of it for making old fashioneds.

There are rumblings that since Elmer passed away a few weeks ago that they might quit bottling his product, or that it might be in the form of some sort of limited release. I've been advised by some folks that follow bourbon availability pretty closely, like CJ at Calandro's, that it would be a good idea to hoard some until more is known about the ultimate plan for this line. Shame, as it and ER have been my daily pours for quite some time. Thinking Rowan's Creek will step in, but it's generally about 10 bucks more than the other 2.

Today's haul. Went to a little place I hadn't gone to in a while and find a couple good ones.

Hope the Elijah Craig Barrel Proof is as good as advertised

Got damn, I gotta move closer to your liquor stores...great finds...

And yes, the EC barrel strength lives up to the hype...

Nice haul in deed. No one around me has the ec on the shelves.

What is that silver thing next to your bottles in the background?

I think the key is that several of them don't really know what they have. Living in the Ridgeland/Madison area, there are many pretty nice wine/liquor stores that know mostly about wine and maybe a couple extra spirits, but I think they just ask the distributor to give them good bourbon and scotch selections and they just forget about them or may have one person in the store who reads a little online. This place had 3 of the ECBP and about a case of ETL and they knew nothing about them

If it does, I may have to go back and get the 3rd one. It was $39 a bottle which didn't seem too bad.

I had a bottle of EC Barrel proof in my hand on the Northshore yesterday, but the guy working said it was really hot (like hotter than Stagg) and at 131, I believed him and set it back. I'm not much on the fire side, more the mellow type.

It's not that hot. You should have bought it. I think it's the best drink on the market under $50.

Lol ahhhh whoops

It's fun to find places like that. I was at a place in Mississippi not too long ago...6 bottles of Jefferson 18 at 79.99 a pop. I already had 6 of them...so I only got one. I should have got them all.

Yea go back and get it for me...I love stagg. I have two bottles coming tomorrow but wouldn't mind having a few backups.
