Four roses cut off the barrel program temporalily because they couldn't keep up.

And they are running low on juice

How is the bowman? Almost picked some up Friday but person at store didn't have a good response when I asked about it. Said it tasted young and wasn't worth the price

I think the Bowman SB is great. It's generally highly rated in most of the reviews I've read and I think it compares favorably to other good bourbons in the $50 price range.

Any of yall had a preference for the Calandros 4R barrels? I think one was an 8 yr and the other a 10 from what I remember.

Either you were looking at an Abraham Bowman special release or the pricing was out of line (what a surprise). I paid in the $50's but I bought it last year.

You can't get Abraham Bowman in LA. It's only sold in Virginia. And John J Bowman should be priced around $50. It's one of my favorite pours right now.

The only barrel that Calandros has left is the OESK. It's pretty good. They had the OBSV as well but that sold out pretty quick. Can't remember how old it is but definitely a solid bottle.

You can get the Abraham Bowman in Louisiana when it comes out. I've gotten 3 different ones from there. Some of the releases are very limited though and those you can only get around Virginia.
