You break out the good juice when one of your fosters might have found his forever home.

Went to my mothers house and was helping her move some things around and found these old bottles.

I asked her how long they had been there and she said that she had hauled three boxes of unopened bottles up into the attic years ago and must have missed these. Looks like I will be making a trip to the attic very soon.

#daydrinkin!

Cracked open a 2015 Old Forester Birthday Bourbon last night. Ended up killing half the bottle with my dad and sister. Good stuff.

Had a pretty awesome Saturday night, met up with an old friend and bourbon enthusiast for some drinks and Cubans. He broke out the some great bottles.
IIRC in order- VWFR, PVW 15, Charter 12, Saz 18 2003, and GTS 2011. Needless to say, I was pretty useless yesterday.

There's a downvoter lurking. Who the hell dowvotes W12? Anyway, which one of those ERs wins? I'm still holding on to two bottles of the Alexanders. Great barrel.

I'm looking for opinions from the Rye drinkers. I've had Saz 18 and absolutely love it. I was wondering how any of you would compare it to VWFRR. I'm looking to probably trade away a PVW 15. They would obviously have to sweeten the deal with the Saz 18.

I like PVW 15, but I'm just more of a fan of Rye and ryed bourbon over wheaters.

Not a big rye drinker but in a flight I did at Avenue with Lot B & PVW15, VWFRR was the winner by a long shot.
