Doris is outstanding. Definitely worth going if you haven’t been. Desi Vega is the same as Mr. John’s. Both great.

Out of those I would put La Boca at the top, if you can’t get in Doris or Chophouse/Mr J

Ate Doris last year for anniversary, definitely loved the dry aged steaks.

Had a horrible experience at La Boca, but I'm curious to try it again since people said they love it.

We usually eat two "really nice" dinners a year. Last year was Chophouse and Doris and those two definitely topped La Boca and Mr. John's the year prior.

I would go to one of the ones you have been to already. You could retry La Boca since you had a bad experience before because their steaks are usually phenomenal.
