Exactly. Walk in and see the place. Likely hasn’t changed since the 70s. See the old pictures, the old posters. Go grab a beer at the bar. Feel that LSU nostalgia. The owner’s an arse, the food is mediocre, the place is a dump, but it’s part of Baton Rouge and has been for a long time.

You guys keep saying Raul's but when I google all I see is Roul's. Thats what you mean right? Not being a smart arse, that place wasn't there when I was in BR.

Roul’s is garbage in my opinion. I think people like it because it’s that hole in the wall place with the cool name that nobody knows about.

no, there are way better places to drink a beer than that dump. No on under 40 has any nostalgic ties to it besides as kids being drug there for a smoky room and mediocre pizza. I totally understand if you are 70 and thats where you hung out. But there is NOTHING about pasttime that is great.

Second, BR has some really good eateries and I'm sure one of the post will lead you in the right directions.
When I lived in the area one of my favorite was Parrains. FYI, make reservations.
