Can I just pick this up at my local Albertsons, or am I gonna have to shoot over to a Fresh Market / Whole Foods?

Just go to the oriental aisle in a regular grocery store
No reason to get robbed at whole foods

It's now popping up everywhere, especially since Kikkoman is now marketing it. Check in the Asian aisle of any grocer.

Winn-Dixie now carries it as well. Shouldn't be that hard to find.

If not shopping at Asian grocers, this is the box you're looking for, and will probably set you back just $1.70 or so...

Albertsons has 2 or 3 varieties. Hell even Wal Marks carries it now.

This. Usually on the aisle with cornmeal, flour and regular bread crumbs.
