I want to make cabbage rolls that look like this:
That’s Savoy Cabbage. I can never find it, though.
Anyone have any idea where I might do so in the NOLA area?

I've bought it at Rouses (in Baton Rouge) before. Or may Whole Foods. Or perhaps an Asian market.

Aside from the cabbage, what's your basic process?
My mother in law (no pics) used to make them on New Year's Day and it was one of my favorite things.
My recollection is that it had a filling similar to meat loaf and it was covered in a flavorful tomato based sauce.
Edit: I've been meaning to ask my MIL if she would make a batch for NY Day and yesterday she said she was going to make some without me bringing it up. This thread has me craving them!

Napa cabbage may be a suitable substitute if you can find it.

I can't tell you where to buy Savoy, but I can assure you we will have these for dinner sometime soon.
That recipe page looks so good.
Thanks for turning a Jones on for some stuffed cabbage.

I’ve used Napa before actually. I didn’t really care for the consistency. It doesn’t have the right sort of pliable density.
