I used an entire can of those [which is smaller than a can of tuna] the first time I tried to make Argentinian style spare ribs. Completely inedible. Second time I did it, I just slathered the adobo on there as marinade, then wiped it off before I cooked them. Much better, but my hands were literally on fire for the better part of five hours.

On a related note, if you chop up a bunch of chilis, for the love of God wash your hands before you go pee or you will regret it dearly.

I know this from personal experience.

This is why I keep a box of disposable surgical gloves on hand at all times. Also, use them when messing with meats. Hate meat under the nails. Yuck.
