Ah they did have the exact same menu even after the name change iirc.

I heard Broken Egg was going to open in the old Harold's in Citiplace off Corporate Blvd.

I can't wait for this. Should be a great location for them.

The owners of the Lafayette chain ABE will be setting up shop under the ABE name in Baton Rouge soon.

I heard that too...I've only been to ABE when they had the one that was located on G O'Neal, and I was never really a big fan of their food. The food was good, but nothing special in my opinion.
ABE was a bit of an upscale breakfast place that had prices high enough to keep the trash from dining there...I didn't mind paying a little extra for that.
Glad they're reopening in BR.

When they were here, they easily had one of the best burgers in town.

I love the ABE hash browns.

ABE's food is outstanding, period .. the franchisees just royally fricked up in BR completely .. bad decision after bad decision ..

There has been talk for some time. Any idea when (roughly)?
Went to the one in lafayette a few weeks ago. Food was great, menu had unique items I rarely see at breakfast places. Had a good amount of hipsters there.

They had some odd opening hours on G O'Neal. I think we only went for lunch maybe 2 or 3 times and I'd just get the club sandwich. Guess I should have tried the burger.

FYI...It's not the Lafayette owners that are opening up in Baton Rouge. This group owns Romacelli in Lafayette. This will be their first ABEC.
And it won't be the same burger...sorry Will. The one they offer is good, but it's not the same seasoning blend, cooking method, or bun. I'm sure they will do very well.
