I will say, Dean sent me an Almanac Heirloom Punkin Barleywine that was absolutely outstanding.

I'm a stout fan so maybe I am a bit swayed. Wish I grabbed another six to compare over time.
Cuban had some when I was in there on Friday.

I used to love pumpkin beers, but over time, my enthusiasm for them has waned. That and the fact they come out earlier and earlier.
However, I do have a few in my fridge from a beer and diaper party my friends threw us. I tried a couple saturday night.
Wasatch black o lantern, and crown valley imperial pumpkin smash.
Crown valley was pretty damn good. Wasatch had too much pumpkin spice, and was too sweet.
I just brewed a pumpkin saison yesterday, so i'm anxious to see how that tastes.

I think that's one my wife brought back from SF too... Glad to hear it's great.

I'm partial to this one.

Pumking and Punkin are the only ones that really stand out.

The upper Midwest produces some superb pumpkin beers. I'm telling ya...a beautiful, crisp fall day, the outdoor fire pit and grill fired up, some pumpkin ales to help make Big 10 football watchable...it's tough to beat in these parts.
