I'm going to be with family around the outlet mall/lamar dixon area. Preferring seafood.

Something local. No chains.

Shoot.

New taqueria joint down 30 on the left, La Mexicana or something

Mike Anderson's

They have a sushi joint by Bass Pro

Albasha, multiple locations yeah, but not a chain per se.

Never had Pot and Paddle, but it's jambalaya.

One exit towards New Orleans has a few more options.

Don's or Mike Anderson's would be your two seafood joints

Keep forgetting and do Mike Anderson's. That Don's is BAD. The one time I went, the shrimp looked like that pre-breaded frozen crap and everything I was served aspired to make it to "meh".

BAD.

If you're willing to drive a little bit, look up Roberto's River Road restaurant. They're really good and aren't just seafood if you've got someone who might not like seafood, but it is a little bit of a drive from Hwy 30 & I-10.

There's also The Cabin that you can get to from the Burnside exit (next exit closer to NOLA) that's pretty good. It's a little drive from I-10 & Hwy. 30 as well. I'd drive to Roberto's before the Cabin.

30 years ago Don's was pretty good but they are horrible now. Every location I've eaten at has been bad but Hammond is probably the worst. No idea how they stay in business.

Not even close to 45 minutes. 25 tops, and worth it for the fried alligator

It’s spelled Hymel’s and was on the list. Hymel’s is closer than Kevin’s.
And I like Kevin’s food way more than Hilltop.

I can make Kevin's to Tanger in 15 minutes most days. I hear the traffic everywhere around there is very heavy with the lights at Lamar Dixon. Mike Anderson's is a great choice for the area.

I feel often gets overlooked. The Fiancée and I prefer Sno's
to Mike Anderson's and it isn't even close.
