I guess if we are going to be technical about it I think you will find each country is different and there is no real consesus. Also, one particular food may be more a necessity than a favorite.

quote:True dat. It's also been said that necessity is the mother of invention. There are quite a few incredible rice dishes out there.

Pizza. It's really versatile and can be vegetarian friendly.

Fried chicken.
Pizza is NOT the correct answer.

Probably pizza. Pretty rare to meet someone who doesn't like pizza.

I've been to a bunch of different countries and I see more Gyro street vendors than any other food source. Although, McDonalds hamburger is pretty damn popular in most European countries.

It's probably more of a personal taste but for me it's either pizza or chicken wings.
I love both although I've had mediocre pizza and it's pretty hard to mess up pizza.
As long as the wings aren't super tough, and the sauce isn't set your mouth on fire, I can deal with some zing but I don't want to be pooping lava the next morning, I'm all about wings.
Couldn't tell you the last time I had a burger. Again, guess it's just a personal preference but I do miss some burgers from Whataburger. Haven't had one in a long time, they were so good.

Rice
This was a simple question, and you people had a mindless conversation for hours. Get it together.

DONUTS.
NEVER trust a person that says they do not like donuts. They're fibbing.

Rice.
That is what immediately came to mind for me. Only other consideration was wheat/flour, but I gave the nod to rice because Asia has a couple billion rice eaters.

Pizza would be my guess. I know one person who doesn't really like burgers.

My son doesn't like pizza or burgers.

I was a weird kid. Pizza was just okay to me. I hated McNuggets and McDonalds fries, boxed mac and cheese, fried chicken, Taco Bell.. And I only liked the cheapy McDonalds burgers. I didn't like "homemade" or restaurant burgers.
In my defense with the burgers, I had pretty much only ever had thick overcooked hockey puck burgers up until adulthood.
