I went last week for the first time in a long time and got the Kung Pao chicken. It was always one of my favorites. I didn't even look at the menu, because I knew that was what I wanted. They added celery to the recipe. Wasn't the same at all, the addition of celery, as I assume to be used as a filler changed the flavor completely.
I haven't been to PF Chang's in years because I think they're awful. My first time there was probably around 1999 and I ordered Kung Pao Chicken. It included celery.

PF Changs gets a lot of hate, much of it deserved. Most things on their menu are only marginally better than your nearest food court Manchu Wok, and that is being generous. Believe it or not, 20 years ago they used to do a lot of things a lot better. For instance, their Chang's Spicy Chicken used to be legit spicy and crispy on top of that. These days it tastes like something pulled from a microwave. I still get it in vain attempts to re-love what used to be, but I'm long past expecting what actually used to be.
Their drinks are almost good but also just shy of it. Too sweet. Which is fine at a cheap place, but they charge too much to use as much filler (read: sugar mix/instant hangover) as they do. Whatever, my fault for expecting a real drink from a chain restaurant.
All that said, they have the GOAT fried rice of anywhere you go. I recommend the combo fried rice but you can't go wrong. It's the one thing that has seemed not to change and when it does I'm done with them forever.
PS thelettuce wraps are good but easily duplicated. Also the most upcharged thing there. It blows my mind that every other Asian themed joint in the country isn't slinging those things.

The thing that I like about PF Changs is that every Changs restaurant I have been to (Baton Rouge, Metairie, Austin and Naples, FL) have all appeared to be very clean to me, the customer.
I can't say the same if I were to visit a local China shop restaurant. And many of which, have serious health code violations.
