I am looking for a good set of general-purpose kitchen shears for a gift to someone that I watched fight with a cheap pair today. I have several pairs of Zwilling I am happy with but they just match our knives.

Budget isn't an issue and the main requirement is they not be made in China/Taiwan.

Thanks, those look perfect. I tend to forget about Cutco because I hate their knife handles.

I just mentioned them to my wife and she reminded me it is what her mother has. I have used them numerous times but never noticed they were Cutco. They are nice and heavy and worthy of a standalone gift.

Agreed they are a solid gift and lifetime warranty. They replaced mine without any questions after my wife cut some metal hanging wire with mine and knicked them up.
