I also very much like America's Test Kitchen and Cook's Country. You can really learn some good techniques there.

Occasionally I'll watch DDD,especially if there's a local angle. Really, I'll watch any of them if there's a local angle.

I hate competition shows.

My favorite shows are ones that showcase food at different restaurants: Unique Eats and Best Thing I Ever Ate leading the way.

I like Food Paradise and DDD too though. Quality isn't what the first two are but I can still mindlessly watch and get hungry, which is my overall goal anyway.

For cooking shows, I like Good Eats and Secrets of a Restaurant Chef

I also love No Reservations and his new show.

We watched the American Junior Chef as a family and really enjoyed it. My youngest has since opened a "restaurant" in my kitchen and wants me to pay him for my food. Its funny.

Like DDD to give me good spots as i travel.

Cooking is not about competition. I want to come away from the show learning something that I did not know before.

A Cook's Tour was really solid. Enjoy watching those old episodes. No Reservations is okay some times; I feel like Bourdain has gotten more obnoxiously pretentious as he's gotten more exposure.

Triple D is entertaining. I'll put it on in the background when I'm reading or just hanging out chatting.

America's Test Kitchen
Cook's Country
Lidia's Italy
Mexico-One Plate at a Time (Rick Bayless)
John Besh's My New Orleans
Jacques Pepin More Fast Food My Way

I like triple D and Good Eats, just have seen most of them several times.

I wish they would again broadcast the old Justin Wilson and Galloping Gourmet shows. Very entertaining. It's a shame that it appears that you can't buy DVDs of all of Justin Wilson's show.
