Recently saw someone mention a mezcal old fashioned. Looks like most versions are 1 1/2 oz respodo, 1/2 oz mezcal, agave nectar, bitters and twist of orange which sounds incredible. I am going to a place tonight that has a huge tequila list so I am looking to try some new things. I have not drank a ton of mezcal in my life but I am a big fan. Thanks.

I came to post this almost to a t. I have some of that bourbon barrel aged corazon some liqour stores do.

1.5 oz tequila
.5 mezcal
agave nectar
5 dash havana and hide bitter (tobacco and leather notes)
2 dash orange bitter

sometimes I do a smoked glass...been playing with a wood chip blend called cherry tempest which is cherry wood with some dried passion fruit....goes nice w this cocktail
