Country-style pork ribs in the oven with maple Chipotle glaze. Asian slaw.

LL, turnip turnips not the greens. Peel them and cut them up into 1"X1/2" pieces. I then rendered out 1 slice of diced thick bacon and added a sliced shallot. Cook until the shallot is starting to get soft then add your turnips. Cook over medium to medium-low heat with a lid on them, stirring every 5 minutes or so. They'll render out their moisture and smother down. In about 30 minutes they're done. It's a really easy veg that you can cook while you're cooking everything else. Very healthy and delicious. Just don't forget to stir them.

Took a 60+ year journey back to childhood tonight.
Blue Box Mac & Cheese fortified with a touch of velveeta.
Frozen English peas cooked with a few Irish Potato wedges.
Mom did the potatoes in the peas to stretch them for a family of six. I did them because I love the peas cooked with the potatoes.
Feel just like a ten year old infantryman returned to dinner from fighting WWII in the back yard again.

Some of best seafood anywhere in Central Florida IMO not quite Lousiana good but very close.
