Hamburger steaks, rice and brown gravy with onions, romaine salad, green beans with potatoes cooked in them.

cooked by my wonderful wife (MHNBPF).

Watching something (don't know what) on tube and drinking a diet A&W Rootbeer now.

My review of the new pho place on magazine from the other thread:

went tonight. I'd give it 3.5/5 overall but unfortunately for them we still pick magasin and Lilly's over pho cam ly. They did a great job with decorations. Place feels very cozy. Tables are spread out nicely. Fiancée disagreed said it kinda felt like a cafeteria. Veggie Spring rolls were meh. No carrots to give it that crunch. Too many noodles. Peanut sauce was good. I had the pho shrimp. It was just okay. It was missing something. Noodles tasted bland. Shrimp was not flavored at all. Fiancée had a veggie rice meal which we both thought was excellent. Veggies cooked perfect and came with a really really good soup. Tasted like onion soup but was unique compared to other Vietnamese spots. In the end , we will definitely give it another shot but not before we eat at magasin and Lilly's a few times in between. [/img]

Casita is so fricking clutch. Even when it's not happy hour it's still a great deal.

Feel free to leave it, hipster.

I forgot to post FDT, dozen or so raw ersters with a few beers up at Cooter Browns. Beautiful night for a bite and a sunset on the river front.

7 dollars for a beer and huge fresh salad with avocados, chicken and more is a great deal. Pulled pork wrap with potato salad? 4 dollars. Grilled chicken with creamy jalapeno and onion sauce with vegetables and rice? Whole fried fish with veggies? 10 dollars. I love Nica.

What are you there for? Enjoyment? Other reasons? Sorry if you've already addressed this.

For sure. I was in southern Belize a little over a year ago and found the same thing. Cheap food and beers, FANTASTIC rum, and some damn good food from both natives and expats. Just be safe down there.

On a medical mission trip in Granada. The main part of town is actually really nice and there are a bunch of expats here. Therefore, great restaurants are everywhere. It seems like vacation in the evenings. I think word is getting out because there are a lot more gringos here than in the past. Lot more. Spring break week maybe? Still you either have a lot of money here or you have nothing. Not much of a middle class. We also go out of town to smaller villages to help.
