No, we're not eating this early. But I did just finish cooking and baking dinner. I made a big pot of broccoli, cauliflower and cheddar cheese soup and a few bread bowls for eating it out of.

Just giving you a hard time. Although July is an odd time for soup and a bread bowl.

Yeah, I know a lot of people think that way but WE have air conditioning. No sense in not enjoying something when you feel like eating it.

I got soaked on the golf course. The old man I was riding with said, “Mais, I’m going home and making me a gumbo me.” Them old folks usually have great ideas. Therefore:

That’s a normal prep time for Janky and his sous vide meals.

Colored butterbeans, with cornbread and onions, sautéed okra with onions, tomatoes and bacon, and a nice piece of buttered cornbread.

Dinner, just like God might serve in heaven!

Edited to add - I bet I haven't had colored butterbeans in over 50 years. What a shame to miss having them that long. With a little luck, we will put up 30 bags of them into the freezer this next week.

That bread looks worth waiting for, Nate.

Garlic Parmesan wings from Wingstop.

I drained unhooked and pulled our water heater, ran new drain lines, changed the pan and reinstalled it yesterday. I must be better. It tried to kill me, but I slugged through.

Thanks for asking.
