On the Westbank yesterday and passed that big seafood lot so I stopped in and picked up a couple of pounds of fresh shrimp.
Anybody else buy seafood there?

Yes, I enjoy stopping there

Yes. I've bought mostly shrimp there. Some crabs. Have to watch sizes pretty close. Often times there's a lot of small stuff mixed in with the larger sizes. Depends on the vendor. All in all a positive experience.

Bought crawfish from there once. Crawfish were dirty and pretty small in size. I wouldn't do it again.

No chance to look at em beforehand?

I should say I was asked to boil crawfish that were bought there and wasn't present for the purchasing.

Would go there for all of our seafood when I was younger. Best place for shrimp and crabs. Come's straight from the fishermen. I would go to Perino's across the expressway or Sal's on Barataria for live or boiled crawfish.

I buy shrimp there pretty often and soft-shell crabs once in a while.
The prices are good, but you have to pay attention when you choose what size shrimp you want. Some of the vendors throw a few bigger shrimp on top to make you think they're all that size. When you get home, you find you bought smaller shrimp than you meant to.
