I was not impressed at all. It wasn’t bad, but nothing to write home about as far as the food, and the waiter wasn’t very good.
I had the homemade Italian sausage with marinara and pasta. The sausage was awesome but the pasta and sauce were cold and a little underdone (not even Al dente). Mrs Antique Tiger had carbonara tortellini, pretty good, but not what we remembered, a little bland.
Waiter messed the order up a little (kind of both our faults) and then forgot to bring bread to the table until I had to ask again for it (third time) halfway through our meal.
I use to work for Gino (at another restaurant he owned), and I know he runs a tighter ship than this (or his mom did).
It was very underwhelming.

We went once after buying a voucher on 225 Best Eats and always reading about it. We were excited for good Italian food, but had much of the same experience as you. Didn’t see anything special at all. I’d like to give it another shot as I love some pasta.

I went last month and the food was good, but the place was just .. weird. I know a lot of italian places go for kitschy decor but it was very well lit and covered in dust. I feel like a turd even saying that but it just felt weird.

That said, it was a weeknight and I went back a few days later to drink on a Saturday night and it was way more comfortable.

I heard ever since his mom died (or retired, I’m not sure if she was still working at that time), the food took a step back.
Back in the 80’s-early 2000’s, that was the place to go for Italian.

It was nice and dark tonight. I like the decor, it’s not too over the top.

He was co-owner of Paparazzi’s the first year it was open, when it served food.
