Went to Del Porto last night for our anniversary

I had asked for recs a while back, and we decided on Del Porto. I had only been for lunch before (which was excellent).
We had a 6:30 reservation and were seated immediately. The restaurant was actually pretty empty when we got there, however it filled up extremely quick. We were seated in a window which was nice because the arts festival was going on downtown last night and there were some ballet dancers dancing across the street.
I got a bourbon cocktail, don't remember the name. It was reminiscent of a whiskey sour and very good. Wife got a grapefruit martini which she really liked.
For appetizers we got the yellowfin crudo, which was a special, and the sweetbreads. Both were amazing. We cleaned both the plates. The crudo had just the right amount of citrus and a nice kick of spice at the end. The sauce accompanying the sweetbreads was extremely rich and savory. We mopped of the scraps with bread.
We split the Italian salad which is nothing exciting, but was very good as well.
For our entrees she got the grilled wreckfish, which was grouper, and I got the duck breast. She only let me have a small bite of the fish and it was cook perfectly. It was served on top of potatoes I think. My duck was a perfect medium-rare and served with a delicious potato and kale hash in a fig sauce. Once again, we totally cleaned our plates.
We were feeling pretty fat at this point, but agreed we had to get a dessert since it was our anniversary. I got a glass of Port, and we split the apple crostada. Not exaggerating when I say it's one of the best desserts I've ever had. It was like an apple pie inside a pastry that tasted like those danish butter cookies (in the best way imaginable) and topped with wiped cream and vanilla gellato.
Service was excellent start to finish. Our final bill was $140. Hands down the best meal I've had on the Northshore, or anywhere, in a damn long time.
It will definitely be our go to henceforth.

love that place
it's much more enjoyable to eat there since they expanded, before it was just too congested and service sometimes suffered
