No, there is a correct woy to cook filets MR without it being too red/bloody.

Most of the steak SHOULD NOT BE COOKED, blood will not spill over onto the floor or cover your date. It's fine, just a bit of raw steak. Some different cuts...

I do think that rare on a hamburger is a little much, unless you have solid inside info as to the preservation and freshness of the meat.

I go MR+ on my steaks; my wife prefers medium+. So, it's a few extra minutes of grilling while mine rests in its glory.

While most of the blood leaves the meat during slaughter, there is still some left in it.

Regardless, I don't like cold raw meat. But to each his own.
