Probably but I've never looked for it. It's probably $15 for a 12 oz bottle though

I'm learning that starving yourself isn't necessarily the answer for long term weight loss. last time I dieted I lost about 75 pounds on a 1300 calorie a day diet, but I gained it all back.
I count about 2000-2100 a day now, 40/40/20 (P/F/C). I"m not losing it nearly as fast, but I feel much better, and my composition is getting better than it was. I got skinny, but it wasn't a strong healthy skinny. I think I'm going the right way now.
I also jog 4m a day.

Is coconut oil easy to find?
It's available at Whole Foods near the olive oil.

I'll pick up a can later today. Not going to replace canola completely, but I'll try it.

What does coconut oil taste like?
Posted on 5/9/13 at 12:42 pm to BigJake
Don't know. Haven't cooked with it yet.

Damnit! Can you let us know please. I want to try it but loathe coconut.

It tastes fine. We started using it recently. Has a very low "melt" temp so you can get it too hot easily. If you really start to use it alot its best to buy it in bulk.

My local Wal Mart carries at least three different brands of coconut oil for cooking, so it shouldn't be very hard to find (or too expensive). Lou Ana packages it in a 30 oz plastic container.

The Louana product is less than $6.50 for the 30 oz container at the localBrookshires.

Been using it for a while now. I like it

It does not make your food taste like coconuts at all. I hate coconut flavoring in food, but I approve cooking with coconut oil.
