Dang, I knew they were doing bad, but not THAT bad. Was there something in particular that happened around march/april that began the huge plummet? All I know recently is the proposed price changes that are giving them hell.

Not very much in cash. It is currently trading at $1.50/share.

The smart guys on the Money Board know more than I do but as far as I know, they were never profitable. They purchased Bite Squad (a similar company to them based I think in Minnesota) several months ago. Their sales increases had a lot to do with that purchase but their sale/loss ratio is still similar.
Q2 2018 Sales were $16.2M
Q2 2018 Loss was $7.4M
Q2 2019 Sales were $51.3M
Q2 2019 Loss was $24.9M

In May/June they upped their fees to 15-25% per order and changed the terms of service so that restaurants can't raise Waitr prices above menu prices to make up for the increase. Which means a restaurant would have to raise their prices across the board or make little to no money on low profit margin items. So a lot of small individual restaurants and local restaurants are pulling out.

the stock is in free-fall
52-wk high was $15 in mid-november, trading today around $1.35.

I love it. I bought back in a few weeks ago after selling at $13 something months ago. I originally bought back in at $5 but bought a lot more today to get an avg. of $2. I think Tilman will try to dump the company at some point but no way he sells for less than $6/share.

more likely he takes the company private.
hard to say what the buy-back price would be in that case

Either way, I think I’ll do alright at $2/share avg.

Ended the day @ $1.89. I think most all the bears got out now though. If it gets back to $5 before Christmas, I may be out again.
