Sorry for the late reply but the one I got from my Mom is very sturdy. It feels like it will be the last waffle maker I will ever have to purchase and it does a great job fwiw

I have the Waring one also. It works great. The only complaint is that it is difficult to clean. Why can't they make the grilly thing detachable.

Hell, I just wipe it with a wet rag when its still hot, and put it away when it cools.

I have a Waring Pro and it will make 2 waffles at a time. Comes in handy if you have company.

Thanks for the rec's guys. Looks like I should have grabbed a Waring before they got bought out by cuisinart. May have to go with the cuisinart since it is basically a re-make of the Waring.

This one. It is supposed to be Cuisinart's release of the Waring Pro Double.
