The owners are suing the South Market District blaming plumbing problems back in June for the restaurant's demise.

Owners of the recently closed Ursa Major restaurant in the growing South Market District downtown claim shoddy plumbing work overseen by developer The Domain Cos. caused the restaurant to smell like sewage and grease, sickening employees and driving away diners, according to a lawsuit.

I went once for happy hour in July and liked it. I didn't notice the odor but I was at the bar next to the door.

Sewage stank and funky odor has plagued the downstairs entry of Ninja on Oak for years, yet it still packs em in.

Is that the most peculiar use of space? I've seen people dining down there once or twice and just laughed. It's such an odd area.

I like how they have the person with the headset down there and, no matter how busy (or not busy) the place is, they always go through the whole odd, yet very serious, routine of calling up and waiting to be signaled the OK to have you escorted upstairs.
