Found two at a small bookstore here in NY. First one is Creole Feast by Nathaniel Burton and Rudy Lombard with a copyright of 1978
Second one is Louisiana Real & Rustic by Emeril. This one has a copyright date of 1996
Can anyone here recommend either one?

Real & Rustic is fine, I own a copy. It was co-authored by Marcelle Bienvenue, who wrote a column for the Times Pic for many years & was teaching at the John Folse Culinary School at Nicholls State (last I checked).
Creole Feast looks interesting, but I haven't seen it in person.

That first one I looked at years ago someone had at work. It felt like it was from 40 years ago lol.
That 2nd ones cover is cringey

Creole Feast (#1) is $32. I didn't ask about Emeril's book. I don't think either one are selling anytime soon so I'll give them a think over.

My Mom has Creole Feast. I haven't looked at it in many years. However, it's an interesting book. The chefs are all black and, as I recall, from some well known long time restaurants. I'm sure there are some classic good creole recipes in it. You've sparked my interest in finding it and taking a look at it. It made me think of the cookbooks from the old Great Chefs PBS series.
I have Real and Rustic. It's fine as has been said.

Never judge a [cook]book by its cover.

Creole Feast looks to be very good. I have it in my extensive Louisiana cookbook collection, but I have never cooked from it. My copy is missing the pages that have all the crab recipes. (I buy most cookbooks second hand.)
It has recipes by 15 creole (African American) chefs from some of the finest and most prestigious restaurants in NOLA.
