I actually googled "how long does soy sauce keep" the other day.

I was at lunch today in Sichuan, China. I asked them what was on the state dinner menu last week. They said there were eight main courses, and they were proud that three of them came from Sichuan. One is familiar-- kung pao chicken. Try not to imagine the kung pao chicken from your local takeout, but it is basically that. Also a spicy fish soup and a type of chicken and vegetable plate. They didn't know what the other five courses were.

They said the fish soup I was eating was the same dish but at least fifty times cheaper than the one at the state dinner.

I’m sure most of you know this, but the White House gets the menus long before hand and has its own chefs cook the food that the president is going to eat. Some of it is pre made and frozen for the trip. Some of it is made in the foreign country with US ingredients, by the president’s personal chefs.

ALL meals.

I wouldn't sell Trump short on his discernment or acumen. Hillary did.. and look "what happened".

I saw a video of a Japanese chef making a burger for Trump in Japan last week. I don't think that's true that every meal is prepared by the president's personal chef.

I think I've read that there are always people overseeing the meals being prepared, but the meals are not always made by the President's Chefs.

Yeah.

Yanagisawa was asked to bring the ingredients and his equipment to prepare the burgers, not just for the leaders but for an entourage of about 20 people, at a kitchen at the country club where the leaders were dining, he said.

The security checks were surprisingly simple, with no metal detectors, although a Trump staff member checked the food and watched the entire time he was cooking, he said.
