I'm waiting for Tom to bust out with "This is Top Chef, not Top Yogurt" if Sara keeps using that ingredient.
Luckily, Gail seems very complimentary of Sara's yogurt usage!

The African inspired dishes tonight were better than what I expected. Several looked really tasty.

Shots, the Bangladeshi guy, and the Portland gal. Those will be up for fan favorites.
The Mexican chick and the guy who worked for Tom are insufferable (although I think they are top notch chefs so far).

Go Dawn! And Avishar, though I thought that he was eating an existing peanut butter and chocolate flavor of Talenti gelato that inspired his Buckeye dish.
Also, I remain annoyed at the Hands up, Utensils down directive at the end of quickfires. Shouldn't that be reversed?
If I were a cheftestant, I'd drop a spoon from shoulder height to demonstrate

The African food looked so delicious! I would have had a hard time deciding a winner.
I love that Dawn won, you could tell how moving that challenge was for her. And go Avishar! His tearing up at the QF win was so sweet.
Gabriel didn't get on my nerves at all this episode, but Jamie is quickly becoming the most annoying cheftestant for me.

I agree.
The next two are much better.

Kiki turned in that gummy arse ball of fufu last week, then raw chicken wings this week. She definitely earned a knife packing.
The fruit dishes they came up with were way more creative than I expected.
Even most of the stuff they spun out of Campbell's soup in the quickfire looked really good. But I'm not buying Dale's bullshite about how he always has a can of cream of mushroom on hand so he can whip up dinner fast for his two year old. Please.
I see there is a documentary coming about the late Fatima Ali, the wonderful former contestant who died of cancer. "Her Name Is Chef" will be available on Apple, Amazon and other Video on Demand and streaming platforms on Tuesday, April 27.

Glad Jamie went home. I couldn't take her annoying arse anymore. Even everyone at judge's table was uncomfortable when she was making all her weird noises at her elimination.
I loved how incredibly sweet Tom was to Maria at the judge's table. I really like her and I love that she cooks her food. I'm glad that he could encourage her and reassure her that she earned her place there fair and square. Plus, it's always nice to see a softer side to Tom.
Avishar got screwed at the drive-in. Those Smores looked BOMB and they were Tom's favorite! I can only surmise that they had to pick the yellow team to prolong the drama and have it end in a tie.
I'm okay with Byron winning, his chicken looked really good. He had a rough start but he continues to improve.

It seems like every competition they have like that somehow comes down to the final vote.
