Recently moved to Texas and had to leave my RecTec in Louisiana for now, I’ll get it over here in the near future. But even when I get it over here, I’ll still want a portable grill / smoker that doesn’t take up too much space, easy to use and reliable for outdoor things like camping and tailgating.

The 1 brand I keep seeing that has great reviews is the Nomad grill. Just want to see if anyone has experience using it and how it performs?

I’ll appreciate any other recommendations as well. Thanks.

They make small Webers. Get a Weber and save yourself $500

You deserve the nomad!

When you can't tell a product is a rip off when they are selling you are $8 thermometer for $50 you deserve to be ripped off.

*looks at website*

That looks interesting.

*looks at price*

Ya, you're getting ripped off. Bad.

ETA: Like the other person said, just get a Weber Smokey Joe. $45 bucks and will do everything that ripoff suitcase will, and probably better.

If you want a small portable type aluminum grill…. Just get a PK Grill and be done with it.

As a portable, that looks cool and it has a great design. Over 400 square inches in a package that small is really good.

I would definitely have it and all these folks saying get a weber or whatever, haven't seemed to notice there isn't a portable weber charcoal grill (that I know of) that'll give you that large of a cooking surface.

Quality materials and carries well. That pricetag though, in my opinion doesn't make it it worth it. 300 bones, tops.
