I avoid restaurants that are all plastic and styrofoam. In this instance it was a new place and I didn’t know that was the only option. And the food tasted great, but man I am having a hard time with the packaging.

Has anyone had any luck taking their own reusable containers to restaurants?

While plastic is a phenomenal product that has revolutionized modern society (esp as it pertains to medical devices/modern medicine tech), it is certainly overused at detrimental to the environment.

I had this exact same conversation with my dad the other day leaving lunch, how much plastic waste the food industry generates on a daily basis from to-go boxes, plastic utensils wrapped in plastic, even the tooth picks are individually wrapped in plastic.
