The Sonic smell

The wife got some cheddar peppers and burgers from Scenic Sonic. It always has a distinct smell. Not aware of any other fast food with a smell this pronounced. What is it? The oil? Not sure but as soon as it comes in the car or house it lingers. Very original

Really? Because I can smell an open Subway door from like 100ft away.
Canes food is pretty distinct as well.
