How does one not throw up in a problematic way in a public place?
This brings up an interesting point. I know some people are different, but for the majority of people, throwing up comes after getting pretty blasted. So blasted, in fact, that it should have been apparent and the bar probably should not have been serving the individual.

True. This seems to never happen, though. Servers and managers hate cutting people off, because those people tend to cause such a scene. It's seen as a no-win situation.
But so is having a customer that drunk.

This is true, but I can think of a few friends who you never even know are blackout when they are unless you know them well because their behavior changes very little.
Then you have the people that manage to pull themselves together for the couple minutes it takes to order a drink

I completely disagree. Businesses should be free to allow smoking or not as they see fit. If people don't like the decision that business has made they can vote with their feet.

If there's a patio for people to smoke, the nasty smelly yellow fingered smokers will congregate by the patio door to fire up their nasty cigs and the smoke will filter back inside.
