We did both, but we were just talking about how we need to tell family to stop going the Honey Baked takeout route. That's just silly when they come already cooked in-store and go on super low sales every holiday season.
Some years we do turkey and pork loin instead, but always 2 meat options.

I'm doing a turkey, ham, and tenderloin. Everyone will be pleased.

My wife loves roasted turkey, so that's what we will have. She likes to do one for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter, though last year, she wasn't feeling well and I did an ham on the grill and smoked a turkey and she liked both. If it was up to me, we'd have turkey for Thanksgiving and ham for Christmas and and Easter.
Now, after Thanksgiving, she makes turkey salad and turkey noodle soup with the leftovers and carcass. Those two items are great. If there is any leftover from that, it goes into tortilla soup.

Why not both? We do fried turkey and smoked ham every year.

Doing ham and turkey. 2 years ago I got a recipe for pulled ham and now everyone who eats it raves about how good it is.
