I’ve never made one myself, but I order them anytime I see it on the menu. There’s quite a few recipes online.

Gran Centenario Anejo is the best deal out there.

We had some mezcal in Mexico recently. It was a good change from beer. Any drink recommendations with mezcal, or just straight?

I love it in cocktails, but I'm not a big fan of it straight. My wife whom hates bourbon and is not a big fan of tequila interestingly enough loves mezcal cocktails.

Oaxacan Lady: 1.5oz Mezcal, 1oz lemon juice, .75oz Licor 43. Shake with ice then strain into glass

The Carajillo: 2oz Espresso or cold brew, 1oz mezcal, 2oz Licor 43, garnish with cinnamon

Smoke & mirrors: 1oz blanco tequila, 1oz mezcal, lime juice, simple syrup, ancho reyes verde. Spicy rim

SanTaRex: blanco tequila, mezcal, melon liqueur, almond orgeat, lime, tiki bitters
