Is it worth checking out, or should I skip it? Some of those poboy descriptions sound pretty legit.

I recall hearing positive reviews on this board before, although I haven’t been personally.

Foods pretty good, parking sucks. If you work in the area and can walk I could see it being a possible goto,. I don’t so don’t go there.

Very legit. Try to go either before or after trad lunch hour, though. Parking will ease up and the wait will not be as long. I usually go around 1:30.

It's a little dive and yeah parking sucks (and is sketchy as frick on that side of Tulane) but the food is pretty good for a lunch spot. They have good gumbo and a buffalo shrimp poboy that is really good.

Really good food and easy to get to if you work in the area or at the new hospitals, not very easy to drive to and park.
I've actually taken the 39 Tulane bus there and back from downtown for lunch. After getting over the horror and shame of riding a transit bus in New Orleans it was pretty cool, stop 1 block from office, drop off and pick up right at restaurant.

Use to be Justin's boss back in his radio days. Opened it after Katrina, been there awhile. Went many times when they first opened, they know what they are doing. It's a legit place. Parking is tough round there always but def worth trying out

It's extremely legit. Get the artichoke balls with crawfish sauce as an app if they have it.

There is parking behind the building in a small lot.
—dive atmosphere, can be a lil greasy at times
—pretty good seafood gumbo
—fried potato salad sounds like a gimmick, but turns out to be a tasty cousin of Cuban croquets or Sicilian crocche
—Poboys are fine
—onion rings are thick cut meh. The kind where the onion just steams inside the batter, with little/no browning.

They've got an oyster poboy that has roast beef drippings and bacon. Ridiculous.

Had a horrible experience my first time there about two months ago. The gumbo had a half inch layer of oil on top that had separated from the roux.
