Will be in these two area's next week. Any bbq recommendations would be appreciated.

Also, what is the place in Mobile that is recommended for beer?

Can't help you with Montgomery, but The Shack in Talledega is supposed to be decent. I have not been, but I've heard good things.

The Shack
Just be advised it's a bit of a hike out in the country from Talladega, either the city proper or a certain NASCAR track -- which in turn are a hike from each other. It is right off Lake Logan Martin, so there's that. Also supposedly it's a fave of some drivers.

Depending on where you are coming from -- and thus your perspective on relative distances -- Birmingham ain't far from both. Come see us for great BBQ, beer and music.

I’ll be in Sylacauga, but I figured Taledaga might have mire to chose from.

Well then, Buttermilk Hill Restaurant in the cool old house just east of "downtown" is calling your name.

Bit of an old-folks' place, but I'm an old folk, so there's that. Really nice people and we've enjoyed lunch there several times.

You can sometimes find some good Westbrook beers like Mexican cake. If you find any trim tab hazy ipas they’re probably worth grabbing. I picked up some one-off Westbrook ipas (rinse/repeat galaxy) last time I was there thanks to front9

This is a good place to eat if you are in the area.

The shack is closer to Pell City than Talladega. Pretty good haul from Sylagauga. I don't care for their BBq, but they have great burgers.

Good Ole Boys BBQ in Sylacauga is pretty good.

For BBQ the only place in Sylacuga is Good Ole Boys. Natches in Childersburg is decent but the local food seen isn’t really happening in the area. If you wanted to drive there’s Pursell Farms going towards Fayetteville that is real good!
