Looking for a new sushi restaurant to try. I feel like i eat at the same few sushi spots, those being Yama, rock n sake, and Ichiban. What are some other good sushi places to try in BR?

Nothing in town sniffs Umami.

I agree in the sense that they are the only place in town to offer omakase, but I think standard menu service is tit for tat with Yama.
Anyway OP, Umami and Yama are the best sushi in town, and it's not particularly close. Go to Tsunami if you're more interested in the ambiance than you are the sushi.
Sushi Village has a great value maki special and is on DoorDash, but I feel like that's not really what you're asking

I always liked Wahada, but it’s been a long time since I’ve been there.

Wahada is our go-to for takeout sushi, but they don’t offer the unique things that Umami does.
I agree that Yama is very good, but they don’t have quite as unique specials as Umami (IMO) and they are somehow even more expensive. Their seafood salad and crudo/tataki type items are close to $30 where Umami’s are closer to $20. Give or take a couple dollars on both ends.

Yama is the best in BR.
When Im wanting a cheaper to-go option, I give Tiger Sushi some love. I think it’s gotten some hate on TD over the years, but Ive never had an issue.

Something different? Sushi Masa
or Waka House.

Drive to Metairie and check out Yakuza. Get a reservation. It's outstanding.

Umami has one of the best Apps of all time.....
Grilled Filet Bone Marrow Tartare
It could be my number 1, but char grilled oysters from Drago's is tough to beat.
