I was visiting family up in Baton Rouge and stayed in hotel next to Sullivans Steak House. Had some time to kill and wanted couple drinks, we had some appetizers and The Perfect Patron Margarita Ohhhh My !!!!!!!!!! Probably one of the smoothest Margaritas I ever Had
Anyone tried to recreate that delicious connotation?
If so, PLEASE share your recipes with me

It probably had 3/4 oz to 1 oz of Cointreau in there as well.
As for the OP, a good Margarita is very easy drink to make if you have quality ingredients. The revelation that it can be so smooth comes from the fact that most people drink margaritas that are complete shite. Most of them are made with low quality tequila and terrible pre-packaged sour mixes. If that is all you have ever drank one simple margarita made with quality ingredients taste like the greatest thing ever.

Yep. Get a bottle of quality tequila, use Grand Marnier or Cointreau at the worst (not triple sec) and freshly squeezed lime juice and you will have an excellent margarita every time.

Isn't Cointreau just a triple sec? Or are you meaning that it's a higher quality of triple sec?
Tres Agaves is a great Tequila for around $32 if you ask me.
Fresh Lime juice
Agave syrup
Put 3 cubes of ice in the shaker with it, shake until the ice is just about melted

I have made some really good ones in the past for example
1 part Don Juilo Blonca
1 part Grand Marnier
1 part simple syrup
1 part lime juice
I call it the Gary because Gary showed me how to make it in Dolphin Island
It is awesome but just thought the one at Sullivans was next level good
But I have not tried Cointreau or messed with agave nectar yet
I will be looking for it on my next trip to the city (I live in middle of nowhere and have to head into bigger city to find good hooch)
Thanks guys I will start with your recipes
Cheers

I'm not sure why you are getting down-voted, this is a terrific recipe for Margaritas, the only thing I would change is maybe a bit more lime juice.
Margarita's don't ever need anything else other than those three ingredients.
