King Caked Pulled Pork Sandwich with Mardi Slaw
I decided to throw an entry in with what I had when I got home from work, so here we go...
I started with a Haydel’s king cake
Reheated some pulled pork I had frozen.
Made the Mardi Slaw with green onions, purple cabbage, and carrot sticks
Sandwich assembly
Sliced and ready

Failed to get pictures of everything but oh well.
Nashville hot chicken sandwich.
Groceries. Plus garlic confit which was used with lard to make the nashville hot “sauce”. Plus a doctored up ranch-chipotle, cayenne, paprika. Plus some pickles. Made a while back. Kind of a spicy bread and butter.
Thighs deboned and deskinned. Skins fried later for sandwich. Buttermilk, cayenne, hot sauce, salt pepper
Slaw. Green and purple cabbabe. Little bit of carrot. 2 of the 3 fresh out of a friends garden.
Sandwich. On brioche. Thigh. Nashville sauce. Slaw. Pickle. Chicken cracklin. Spicy ranch. Served with zapps baw. Salt and vinegar.

Your pork is purple.

No little sous chef helping you this round?
No, the prep work went down after he was asleep and his BFF was over for the real cooking.

Maybe he choked his pork? Supposed to save that for the chicken, no?

t00f thank you for the laugh with your sandwich. I am STILL at work dealing with issues so I needed the laugh. I would...and I have...eaten something exactly like that.
Outstanding entries again everyone!

Damn good looking sandwiches! The amount of effort some of you invested in this challenge is impressive. Definitely should be considered come voting time!

20 entries, with an hour left to go! Most participants in a challenge, so far.
