Worked at HiHo in Hammond(bbq sandwich place)in high school. Had a regular that always asked for what he called a “saucy bun with cheese”
Wasn't this on the menu? Loved me some HiHo as a lad.

Cream cheese in sushi...wtf?
Some of the sushi joints I frequent have cream cheese in some of their rolls like the Philadelphia Roll (Samon, Advacado, and Cream Cheese). shite is amazing. Cream cheese goes with just about everything imo.
Edit: Salmon, Avocado. My dumbass cannot spell apparently.

I helped Mr. JT and Scooter with smoking the meat over at Quiks too. Scooter would buy me beer when we worked together since I wasn't old enough. Man, you're bringing up shite I haven't though about in a long time.
great folks...I grew up with Mr. JT's boys...and then sold them provisions for the HiHo when I was older.

I order burgers with just meat and bread.

The strangest thing I ever ordered was tete de veau (veal head) with all of the contents thereof, including the brains. It was at Cafe Constant in Paris. My wife snapped a picture of it then would not look at the plate again until I was finished. It was delicious.

As someone who has lived and worked in Asia for the last ~3 years, it's impossible for me to list everything. Half of the time I don't even know what I'm eating.
My experience with authentic Asian food where you go with a local and they just order all sorts of shite for you without picking the Westernized dishes is that 60-70% of the time it will be incredible. About a third of the time, though, it's genuinely a do-or-die fight with your stomach to get it down.
One thing they like is boiled chicken that is then cooled and served chilled. When cooled, the chicken gets this clear film on it and the skin turns gelatinous. It's also the color of dry wall. It's one of the most horrific things I've ever had to eat, and this will be at a nice restaurant.
Just horrible.
