Saw this post, looks like a lot of dough but I am feeling compelled to try it sometime. Or, go to Midway. Or both.

My wife said it's pretty close to the deep dish she had in Chicago. Obviously not as good, but the best you can do locally.

I live around there, but I've never tried it since I'm mostly on the low carb pain train. May have to fit it into a cheat day to give it a try.

Seems expensive... $32 for a 14inch before you even put toppings on.
But then again it could probably feed 3-4 people.

I had it a few weeks ago and thought it was good. One 14" pizza must have weighted 5+lbs. It could easily feed 3-4 people.

I thought is was as good as what we had in Chicago (Pizza Uno, Connie's) but they have changed hands since they opened. Heard they have Pizza Beignets now.
A 14" could feed 6-8 people.

Midway is like eating just one fat, doughy breadstick. Probably been twice since it opened.

It's very expensive for what it is, and after you eat it, you won't really remember much about it. But if you absolutely gotta have deep dish...

I think on rare occasion dropping 35$ on a deep dish would be arite.

Looks just OK. I'd probably do the Nola blonde.

Why would you go to a Chicago Pizza place for beer? Makes no sense.

I don't think it's unreasonable to expect to have a nice beer with my meal given the ubiquity of craft beer nowadays. Especially with pizza. Pizza and beer is a thing. Everyone knows that.
