These guys are spending a butt load of $$ on their building and parking lot (Bluebonnet and Perkins). I have never heard of them. Any good?
I read in the Advocate that they are a chain.

I read in the Advocate that they are a chain.
quote:
The chain has 11 locations in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama, including restaurants in Lafayette and Covington. Fish said Gulf Coast Restaurant Group had been trying to get into the Baton Rouge market for four years, before the other Louisiana locations ever opened.

I’ll be giving them a shot once they open up.

They're a chain; I've eaten at the one in Mobile. Not bad. Don't recall the name, they came up with this name to not infringe with On-the-Half-Shell. So something Half-Shell?

Tried their grilled oysters at Taste of Tiger Tailgating. As good as I’ve ever had. But as with every restaurant, it takes more than good food to be a great place. Only as good as its people. You can makeup for poor food with great service. But you can’t makeup for poor service with great food.

Tried to eat at the location in Gulfport with a group. Wait time was too long for our group so we left.
A few months later we ate at the location in the Hard Rock. Average food with below average service, in spite of having 2 waitresses. It was really a shite show.
These restaurants are popular here but I wonder how they will hold up with the competition in BR.

We went to the one in downtown Biloxi over Memorial Day weekend. It was pretty solid.

Have eaten at the (Half-Shell) in Gulfport and Covington. Very good seafood joint.

It opened yesterday and I visited for lunch today.
Interior build-out is nice and service was great. Food was average. Seafood gumbo was loaded with shrimp but tasted like it was straight from Piccadilly. Oyster po-boy had great bread but oysters were to the point of almost being bad. Not a great taste and rubbery. $45 lunch for the wife and I. I'll give it another shot for some charbroiled oysters, but left today pretty disappointed.
