Cast iron, but I don't care for the sweet. I want stone ground corn meal cornbread that is a bit salty with cold butter.

Jiffy, in a cast iron pan. Little bacon grease in the bottom, add some jalapeño and sometimes cream corn to the mix

Yep. Chili or taco soup sweet cornbread is fantastic. For the store bought stuff, god I miss the Pillsbury cornbread twists for chili.
