Also, are there any brands of either chips or salsa you've run across recently you care to share? Always looking for something new to try.
Frontera Double Roasted is awesome.
In fact, most of the Frontera salsa's are awesome.

This thread is awesome. I am a salsa connoisseur. I do like the voodoo bengal a lot. For any of you who like a thin salsa, I highly recommend:

yo Ham, where might one pick that up?

I've recently seen it in a few chain stores like walmart and albertsons throughout the state (natchitoches, Alexandria, and BR), but before that I was buying it from a small shop on front street in natchitoches.
Eta: they also sell them on amazon by the 6 pack's (after you'd try a jar first, of course).

Next time you are in BR, I'm pretty sure you can get it at the Southside Produce.

yo Dan just ran by whole foods. They didn't have the double roasted Frontera but I picked up a jar of their Habanero

That one is good too.
I wasn't sure how "chain" they were, since the restaurants are all Chicago based.

so over the past month I've tried a few more brands:
Salsa Sensations, Medium - found it in the cold section at Whole Foods. great fresh flavor with just the right amount of garlic. great consistency as well.
Riverwalk Cantina, Mild - absolutely terrible. way too thick. bbq sauce/ketchupy flavor. just overall an awful taste. ask Degas.
Silverleaf Medium Garlic Salsa - hotter than most mediums, but way too much garlic for me.
Guy Fieri Salsa Verde - eh. nothing phenomenal. but it's edible.

i dated a girl in high school named xochitl its pronounced like 'zo-chee' in case you were curious or didnt know
those chips are badass, when i do a homemade nachos w/ velveeta 3 or 4 times a year i just go with the old reliable santitas, they are actually pretty healthy compared to most other brands, although only by a slight margin.
used to like the tostitos blue corn and the hint of lime now and then. san antonio farms makes a good salsa, they sell it at heb in texas, i think its a hill country fare brand.
