It goes to smoke quality, you want thin blue smoke to get the best taste in your meat. Pellets do that with no issue. The design of the chip loader on the MES doesn't deliver that, you mostly get thicker white smoker which makes the meat more bitter. It's just easier with the AMNPS, going electric is all about making things easier on yourself.

Not even close, I just like good food, and this is an easy way to improve your smoking even for us casuals.
